Clint Didier grew up on an irrigated farm located in the Columbia Basin Project near Eltopia, Washington. He learned from watching his parents build a farm from sagebrush and sand that eking out a living on the land involved hard work and perseverance.

After graduating from Connell High School, Clint attended Columbia Basin Jr. College for two years.  At that time, CBC participated in a junior college football program. Although Clint loved the sport of football, he realized at 6’5”, yet only l65 pounds, it was unlikely he would meet the physical requirements to be a part of the CBC program. So, he developed a dedication to the weight room along with a weight-gain program, which would pay off later on. 

Clint also had to compete with a history already established by an older brother who excelled in every sport. During those early football days, Clint was told many times, he did not have the talents needed to play professional football.  Clint believed otherwise and never deterred from his dream of playing in the pros. 
Upon obtaining his AA degree from CBC, Coach “Mouse” Davis of the famous “Run and Shoot” offense at Portland State University, recruited Clint to join the PSU football team.  He later confided to Clint his invitation had been based on the perseverance and dedication he saw in Clint while attending a football camp. Clint finished out his education at Portland State exiting with a degree in Political Science.

After graduation, Clint was drafted in the l2th round by the Washington Redskins. This led to a seven-year career with the Redskins including participation in three Super Bowls, followed by two more years with the Green Bay Packers.

When Clint retired from the NFL in l990, he and his wife, and four children – daughter, Brandie, and sons, Travis, Justin, and Zachary – returned to farming in Eastern Washington, where they bought their first farm north of Pasco, near the original family farm.  In addition to the farming operation, Clint also owns and operates an excavation company.

Believing in the American dream that afforded him such a great opportunity, Clint committed eight years to coaching in the Connell High School football program. During those eight years, Connell won two state championships and two second-place finishes. He is a long-time member of the WA State Farm Bureau and has been active in local politics.
